Press Release

Keith Dawn

CEO of Strategic Growth Partners, LLC

As a media and marketing executive, Keith has helped hundreds of small to mid-size businesses improve their bottom line for over 30 years. For most of those years he’s worked hand in hand with business leaders to focus on sales and marketing to help increase revenue. But sales and marketing could only take these businesses so far.

Most businesses need help with improving efficiencies, costs, understanding financials, product development, staff development, mentoring and so much more. Keith took the opportunity to sharpen these skills by working with the owners of several privately held companies. This gave him direct access to help them develop higher profits that have been proven to be sustainable over time. The focus was on a long-term, well thought-out strategy.

“Business is tough enough without the obstacles of inflation, recession, world-wide pandemics, staffing and other challenges.  I help leaders work ON their business and not IN their business through specific growth initiatives”, says Dawn.  “I help business owners and executives find more profits and valuable time to do what’s important to them and their families.  I’m passionate about helping my clients reach their financial and lifestyle goals and I want to continue to make a positive impact.  If I don’t make an impact, my clients don’t pay.  I guarantee my results.”

Background:

Keith was raised just outside of Washington, DC in northern Virginia. After graduating with a BA in Journalism and Marketing from Radford University, he started his career in advertising.

Keith worked in various advertising jobs before joining the sales department at The Journal Newspapers, an independent daily newspaper group in suburban DC. He advanced through several management positions and later joined Gannett in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.

A few years later he was recruited by The Journal Register Company as the Advertising Director for The Times Herald in Norristown, PA and soon after that, Keith became the Publisher in Chester County, PA.

Keith joined The Press of Atlantic City in 1996 to become the Director of Advertising. He was promoted to General Manager and then to Publisher/COO of The Press of Atlantic City Media Group until the company was sold in 2013.

From AC to NYC. Keith began working with the media conglomerate Advance for the next four and half years as Associate Publisher. He was brought in to focus on change management, improved revenue, diversified product development and multiple property alliances.

After a successful stint in NY, Keith began work with a family owned printing and media company in north eastern PA as Chief Operating Officer. That’s where he implemented LEAN/Continuous Improvement standards and developed strategies for revenue growth, audience development and profit improvement. EBITDA grew in excess of 10% with revenues of over $25mm in the first year.

Community Service.
Keith served on the boards of AtlantiCare Hospital and Foundation, Atlantic City Regional Chamber of Commerce, the New Jersey Press Association. He also served on the Independent Newspaper Group Advisory Board, William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy Steering Committee, LIGHT Advisory Board, and Ocean City Home Bank Foundation. Keith was the United Way of Atlantic County campaign chairperson and served as Communications Chairman for the Atlantic County chapter for the March of Dimes’ Walk America. Keith is a frequent participant in the annual “City to the Shore” bike ride for MS.

Continuous Improvement.
“I’ve always believed in continuous learning and urge my clients to embrace our E-Learning Business Academy,” Dawn says. In addition to earning 3 Google ad certifications, Keith successfully completed the Advanced Executive Program of Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Medill School of Journalism. He’s also a graduate from the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.

Throughout his entire career, (through economic downturns, including recessions) the companies Keith worked for always kept the profits in the black. Keith plans to continue his work with small to mid-size businesses for the rest of his career. “I want to share my experiences and expertise so other businesses can enjoy success through the same strategies I’ve employed.”
